Description:

This stone circle is described on Archaeology.ie as follows;

"In rolling pasture, on S side and near headwaters of Bandon river. Circle complete; N entrance stone fallen inwards, interior filled with field stones. Orthostats are 0.6m to 1m L, 0.35m to 0.5m T and 0.6m to 0.9m H. Internal measurement along main axis, aligned NE-SW, is 3m. (O Nualláin, 1984, 42, no.82)."

Jack Roberts, who has been studying the stone circles of Cork & Kerry for 30 years, suspects that this stone circle is aligned to the sun-set on the Feb - Nov Cross Quarter days.
